Volleyball Officiating Opportunities!

2023-09-03

Would you like to be a volleyball official?

Do you love volleyball and would be interested in giving back to your sport?   Volleyball PEI is currently looking to expand our group of officials!
Officiating is a great way to see the game from a different perspective, give back to a game that you love, and make a little bit of spending money on the side.     Officials can be as young as 15 years of age (in high school) and as old as you want to be!
Typically you start out officiating junior high games in the fall and work your way up to high school.  You will do some games on your own (junior high, 14U)  and for the AAA High School and 18U Club level, you will work in a 2-official system.
We have a club volleyball season that starts in Dec. and a busy spring volleyball season so there is lots of opportunities to officiate.

Officiating is easy to get in to!  You just need to have an interest in our sport, sign up for the online NEW Indoor Referee Level 1 clinic, and then once you complete the clinic the facilitator will let us know and you can be assigned games!
You will also get the opportunity to be supervised by more experienced officials as much as possible.   Games start for the PEI School Athletic Season as early as September 11th.

To sign up for the online clinic (which also includes your official’s membership for the 2023-2024 season), click here:  https://volleyball.canada.sportsmanager.ie/sportlomo/registration/member-registration/club/12319
and select Leader - NEW Indoor Referee Level 1 from the list.
