Volleyball PEI is looking for Head Coaches for it's 2023 Provincial Teams!

Volleyball PEI is Seeking HEAD COACHES for
Provincial Indoor & Beach Volleyball teams for 2023:
 
14U Female Indoor                         (Athletes: born Jan. 1, 2009 or later)
14U Male Indoor                              (Athletes: born Jan. 1, 2009 or later)
16U Female Indoor                          (Athletes: born Jan. 1, 2007 or later)
16U Male Indoor                              (Athletes: born Jan. 1, 2007 or later)
18U Female Indoor                         (Athletes: born Jan. 1, 2005 or later)
18U Male Indoor                              (Athletes: born Jan. 1, 2005 or later)
16U/18U Beach Female                 (Athletes: born Jan. 1, 2005 or later)
16U/18U Beach Male                     (Athletes: born Jan. 1, 2005 or later)
 
Please note: The number of teams and their respective age groups for 2023 will be determined by the number of qualified coaches that are selected, and the skill level of the athletes that attend tryouts.
 
Job Outline & Expectations:
 
1.            Applicants for Coaching positions should be working to become certified to the level required to attend regional (Eastern Elites) and national (Canada Cup) competitions in 2023. 
2.            Applicants should be committed to creating a healthy performance based program.
3.            Applicants must be willing to commit to full participation in all practices, matches and tournaments, including try out dates/camps, Regional and National tournaments.   The teams will be expected to participate in Regional Competitions and/or National Competitions.
4.            Applicants should be prepared to plan daily practices, with the support of Volleyball PEI, coaches should be able to create a full summer plan.
5.            Applicants must be willing and capable of communicating on a regular basis with athletes, parents, and Volleyball PEI.

When applying, coaches should indicate their preferred age group/gender, stream (beach and/or indoor), your coaching experience, and your current coach certification level.
 
Calls for Assistant Coaches and Support Coaches will go out once Head Coaches are put in place!
  
Please note:  For any coaches interested in being considered as Coaches for the 2025 Canada Games volleyball teams, you must be prepared to work towards completing the required Canada Games Certification level prior to the 2025 Canada Games.  Calls for Head & Assistant Coaches & Managers for the 2025 Canada Games will be held separately in the fall of 2023.  However all interested in being name to the 2025 team staff positions should be involved in provincial team programming this summer.
